SBEC provided mechanical and electrical engineering design services for the Amgen cold room HVAC renovation of three (3) existing cold rooms (Class 100,000 clean rooms) totaling approximately 2,000 ft2 maintained at 5°C.
Specific scope of work included:
- Three (3) new chilled water cooling air handling units to provide conditioned air to cold rooms
- Dehumidification control to maintain humidity levels in rooms
- New direct digital controls (DDC) for control of new HVAC systems
- Electrical power modifications to support new mechanical equipment
