SBEC was selected by RB+B Architects to design the mechanical systems necessary to support this new 71,000 GSF stand alone elementary school. The new building was designed as a high-performance school and achieved LEED Gold certification in early 2012.
The original project energy performance goal was 35 kBTU/SF/year. In 2013 the project achieved 23 kBTU/SF/year – exceeding the goal by nearly 30%.
Spaces include classroom rooms, media room, library, general offices, gymnasium and cafeteria. Additionally, two preschool classrooms were included in the project’s design.
